Cocktail Art in Bangkok: Discover Journey into the New Siam!
Riverside bar Stella at the Capella Hotel in Bangkok has captured the hearts of cocktail lovers with its new cocktail menu “Journey into the New Siam”. Launched at the end of September 2025, this innovative offering combines the elegance of traditional Thai elements with the vibrant energy of the modern metropolis. The focus is on the lotus flower, a symbol of balance and elegance, which beautifully captures the philosophy of the menu. The Spirits Business reports that the creations are divided into three chapters: “Bangkok and its Evolution,” “Stella’s Signature Revivals,” and “Drink Like a Local.”
The first chapter contains 12 cocktails that represent the different districts of Bangkok. A highlight is the “Mango Moonlight”, inspired by the Bang Kho Laem district, which promises a true taste rush with an exquisite blend of Ardbeg 10-year-old Scotch and Nam Dok Mai Mango. The “My Thai” cocktail, which captures the essence of Muay Thai from the Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, is particularly appealing, with Bumbu rum and coconut milk.
Creative stories in every sip
New to the team is Miriam Nini, who played a key role in designing the menu and integrates many exciting stories into the cocktails with fresh energy. Each drink tells its own story through the careful selection of ingredients and appealing presentation. What's interesting is that the menu is designed in the form of a saa paper fan, with each page dedicated to a different cocktail. The Front Row highlights how the atmosphere of the salon impresses with a mysterious and elegant ambience that invites guests on a journey into Bangkok's past.
One of the treasures on the menu is the “Umami Martini” – a sophisticated creation that redefines classic cocktail enjoyment. This variant combines Gray Goose Vodka and Patrón Añejo Tequila with a special note of white miso butter and Makrut lime.
A look into the cocktail world of Bangkok
In addition to the variety of themes, Stella also offers non-alcoholic cocktails, such as the “Dockside”, which is also creatively mixed with Sabatini 0.0, tomato water and watermelon. Finally, the “Ya Dong Experience” gives guests the opportunity to explore a seasonally changing, traditional Thai spirit that is typical of the local drinking culture.
Stella at Capella is not only known for its outstanding cocktails, but also occupies a high place in the Asian bar scene. Not to forget, Hong Kong's Bar Leone was recently named the best bar in the world, an accolade that highlights the competition in the region.
There is a lot to explore in Bangkok and the bar and cocktail culture is at the heart of it. The restaurant and bar landscape is rounded off by many other recommended restaurants, whose diversity and uniqueness are reflected in the vibrant city Classy Travel Guides be described.
