LUYUAN starts cultural exchange: electric scooters conquer Bangkok!
The streets of Bangkok are currently ablaze with vibrant colors as the exciting China-Thai youth cultural exchange program “Boundless Creativity • Youth Link” was launched on January 16, 2026. This exciting event, where LUYUAN Group serves as the youth partner of the “New Force in 2026 China-Thailand Cultural Exchange”, aims to strengthen cultural bridges between the two nations.
LUYUAN Group, an innovative electric vehicle manufacturer, focused on high visibility at the opening. A fleet of colorful LUYUAN electric scooters, decorated with the charming panda mascot “Upanda,” paraded through the streets of Bangkok. The route begins at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and leads through the vibrant streets of Chinatown to the impressive Wat Pho.
Young people as ambassadors
This unique trip not only focused on the powerful electric vehicles, but also on interaction with the public. The participants, consisting of Chinese and Thai young people, took on the role of cultural ambassadors and thus made an important contribution to promoting mutual understanding. For their efforts, they were awarded the title of “Youth Partners of the New Force in Sino-Thai Cultural Exchange 2026.”
Another highlight of the day was LUYUAN's collaboration with Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU), which made it possible to donate panda-themed electric vehicles. These gifts are intended not only to promote Chinese culture, but also to document Thailand's social development and local customs.
Cultural soft power and technological ambitions
The event also coincided with the “China Gift Exhibition,” where LUYUAN showcased its innovative products and environmentally friendly mobility solutions. The company has recognized that emphasizing cultural soft power can also support industrial hard power. Through this strategy, LUYUAN wants to gain a foothold not only in Thailand but also internationally.
To achieve this, the LUYUAN Group is pursuing strategic collaborations, including a technology licensing partnership with the BMW Group. The aim of this partnership is to integrate international engineering and quality management concepts into LUYUAN's research and development.
In an age where cultural connectivity and collaboration are crucial, the Youth Cultural Exchange Program in Bangkok shows how bringing young people together can open up new perspectives. This initiative aims to further strengthen the people-to-people bond between China and Thailand and steer together toward a green, sustainable future.
