Radisson brings career festival to Zurich: talent in focus!

Radisson Hotel Group brings a breath of fresh air to the hotel industry! With the global career program “Career Fest 2025”, which launches today in over 100 countries, the group is sending a strong message to the next generation of talent. Over 75,000 employees are invited to take part in this largest career festival in the company's history. Over the next 30 days, the event will open up numerous career opportunities through workshops, lectures and practical learning modules in a hybrid format. The focus is on positioning Radisson as a top employer and providing new impetus. Hotelinside reports about it.

In Europe, and especially in Switzerland, Radisson already operates seven hotels and has set itself the goal of promoting talent and making it visible. A notable step is the introduction of the digital platform “Career Space”, which offers employees new career paths and further training opportunities. The three central pillars “Find your Passion”, “Develop your Career” and “Inspire to take the next step” are designed to develop the full potential of employees.

A look at Southeast Asia

Things will be particularly exciting for Southeast Asia, where Radisson already operates 36 hotels in twelve countries. Internal recruiting here increased by an impressive 170% in the first half of 2025 compared to the previous year. A positive sign, as 13 employees were promoted to general managers, six of whom were women - an encouraging example of equality in the industry.

The hotel industry in Bangkok and other Thai cities is experiencing a boom. Bangkok is one of the top 100 most popular travel destinations worldwide and ranked 17th in 2024. The city owes this popularity not only to its breathtaking sights such as the Royal Palace and the numerous shopping centers, but also to its friendly service. Country Data highlights that Thailand has become a hotspot for mass tourism in recent decades, but this also has its downsides, such as environmental impacts and overuse of resources.

The challenges of tourism

Despite the impressive tourism figures, which totaled over 57 billion euros in revenue in 2019, Thailand also felt the effects of the corona pandemic, which pushed revenue back to just 13.45 billion euros in 2020. The reopening of the country after the pandemic now gives nature the chance to recover. However, a challenge remains to promote sustainable tourism and to get the environmental problems caused by mass tourism under control.

Radisson is committed to talent development as a strategic success factor for the future and is supported by Jin Jiang International, which acquired the group in 2018. The “Every Moment Matters” philosophy is at the heart of the corporate culture, supported by a strong team spirit and the motto “Yes I Can!”. In an industry that is constantly changing, it seems as if Radisson has the knack of taking the right steps into the future.
