Preparation for TIMO 2025

The Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) 2025, organized by the Olympiad Champion Education Center (OCEC) and the Thailand Mathematics Society, is just around the corner. TIMO is open to students from kindergarten through 12th grade and is conducted online. Over 14 countries are registered to take part, which is a great opportunity to gain international experience.

TIMO participation will take place in two rounds: the Heat Round, which is expected to take place in September 2025, and the Final Round in March or April 2026. Students can get on track by registering early and preparing for the required content. Topics such as logical thinking, arithmetic, algebra and geometry are on the curriculum.

Competition and awards

TIMO's exam structure is clearly structured: In the heat round, 25 questions must be completed within 90 minutes. The best participants receive gold, silver and bronze awards as well as merits that honor their achievements. The performance feedback helps students to benchmark their skills worldwide and to further develop in a targeted manner.

One can hope for further exciting opportunities for the IMGO gold medal winners. Not only will you represent Thailand in international competition, but you can also take part in the World International Mathematical Olympiad (WIMO). They have the chance to acquire valuable knowledge in a 10-hour intensive training and to compete with the best mathematicians in the world.

TIMO 2025 lays the foundation for the future mathematical talent in Thailand and leaves a lasting impression in the lives of these young students. Competitions like this awaken and promote enthusiasm for mathematics, which is of great benefit to the future of education in Thailand.
