Experience Thailand in a new way: Up to 30% discount on hotels until March 2026!

There is a lot going on in the tourism sector in Thailand, and the latest initiatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) are promising. With the new campaign "ฟังเสียงหัวใจ เที่ยวไทยไม่รู้ลืม" (Hear the heart, don't forget Thailand) wants to TAT will boost visitor numbers at the end of the year. Over 200 hotels nationwide are offering discounts of up to 30%, which will not only attract bargain hunters but also place a focus on sustainability and meaningful travel. Guests can complete their bookings immediately until November 30, 2025 and travel until March 31, 2026.

What is behind this campaign? The goal is clear: quality over quantity. The TAT aims to attract high-value tourists and emphasizes the importance of travel, not only for visitors but also for the local population. The “Partnership 360°” concept, which is intended to strengthen cooperation between the government, private sector and tourism companies, is also exciting. Two main activities invite citizens to share their best travel experiences in Thailand. The deadline for entries is November 15, 2025.

Sustainability in focus

In addition to the ongoing campaign, TAT announced a new tourism concept for 2026, themed “Value is the New Volume,” at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. This concept focuses on sustainable, experience-oriented travel and promotes the preservation of cultural heritage and the protection of the environment. The TAT is aimed at Millennials, Gen Z, luxury travelers and wellness-conscious tourists interested in local cultures and communities, such as Sigma Earth reported.

A central element of this vision is a commitment to sustainable practices. Thailand wants to help the local economy benefit from tourism revenue by promoting ecological accommodation and projects. This also includes creating environmentally conscious travel experiences where tourists can stay in sustainable hotels and take part in cultural events, such as Vacation Guru describes.

Diverse experiences for travelers

Authorities have launched a series of events, including the Maha Loy Krathong Festival and the Amazing Thailand Countdown, to further stimulate the tourism sector. The wellness industry is also being promoted, with offerings such as luxurious retreats and cultural tours. This means travelers can not only enjoy the breathtaking nature, but also immerse themselves in the country's rich traditions and customs.

The demand for sustainable travel experiences is growing, and more and more vacationers are choosing more conscious travel. This aims to support the local culture and environment. The TAT has recognized that elephant riding is unethical in many cases and instead supports sanctuaries for elephants to be rehabilitated. Accommodations like Soneva Kiri and The Pavilions Anana Krabi show that the trend towards sustainable practices is still on the rise.

So Thailand's goal is not only to attract visitors, but also to make an important contribution to protecting its unique flora and fauna while strengthening the local economy. The coming years will show how these initiatives will change the country's tourism landscape.
