The excitement is high in Pattaya this week: the FEI Asian Championships 2025 are in full swing. On December 3, 2025, the spectacular opening ceremony took place at the Thai Polo and Equestrian Club. How PPTV Reportedly, Thai Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana attended the celebrations, reaffirming royal support for the event, which is organized locally by the Thai Equestrian Federation.

The championships, which take place from November 24th to December 7th, are more than just a competition. They serve as a platform to promote Thai equestrian sport internationally and improve athletes' skills, especially with a view to the upcoming 2026 Asian Games. Athletes from 13 Asian countries, including Thailand, China and Japan, compete in five disciplines: dressage, para-dressage, endurance riding, eventing and show jumping. A successful start

The opening celebrations included an impressive parade of BYD vehicles, accompanied by musical performances by the Brass RBSO and the Wachirawut Music School. Numerous sports organizations from different parts of the world were also represented, underlining the international importance of the event.

A highlight of the championships was the success of the Thai team in dressage, which had already won gold last time in 2019. This time they secured first place again with a total score of 205.853%. Athletes Pakjira Thongpakdi, Chanjanok Klara Ruecker and Nynn Puttisombat showed outstanding performances and exceeded the 68% mark, as FEI reported. Chanjanok Ruecker, for example, shone with a score of 68.706% with her horse Vincent 186.

Exciting competitions are ahead

The coming days promise exciting competitions with many high-class duels. The first individual medals in the Intermediate I competition will be awarded on Thursday and the freestyle final will take place on Sunday. The athletes are well prepared and will give everything to proudly represent their national colors.
