Caution is advised in Pattaya as the Meteorological Office has issued a storm warning for the coastal regions of Thailand. According to information from Pattaya Mail Heavy rains and rough weather are expected to affect the coast in the coming days. Residents and visitors should therefore prepare for possible flooding and sudden downpours, particularly in low-lying and poorly drained areas.
The storm warning is part of preparations for a low pressure system that will affect not only northern Thailand but also parts of Myanmar. Particular caution is advised to both fishermen and boat operators as waves in the Gulf of Thailand can reach over two meters high on stormy days. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to follow local weather reports and take authorities' instructions seriously.

The city government is under pressure as recurring floods threaten Pattaya's reputation as a popular tourist destination. Especially in the last few days, many travelers have been advised to use weather apps and prefer indoor activities during heavy rain to avoid inconvenience.

However, visiting the sights in Ayutthaya is currently not possible due to flooding and further flooding is expected in Bangkok next weekend. Despite these challenges, normal flight operations continue at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
