BWH Hotels expands in Asia: Sustainable future for travelers!

What's happening in the world of hotels right now? BWH Hotels has big plans in Asia that are focused on sustainability. In the coming months, BWH Hotels will feature new hotel openings and a number of initiatives to promote green travel. Of particular note is the first launch of the Aiden brand in Thailand with the new Aiden Surawong Bangkok, which will offer 77 modernly designed guest rooms. In addition to this exciting project, there is also the Best Western The Matter Tiwanon Hotel in Bangkok, which has 68 rooms and is attractively located in the immediate vicinity of Don Mueang International Airport.

The expansion continues with two new hotels opening in Pattaya in November: the Siamese Hotel Pattaya, BW Signature Collection, with 121 rooms, restaurant, swimming pool and fitness club, and the SureStay Plus by Best Western T Pattaya with 95 rooms, restaurant, meeting room and two bars. But that's not all - in Vietnam, the WorldHotels Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc with 465 rooms directly on the beach will be inaugurated in the fourth quarter of 2025. The Best Western Premier Hotels will also be strengthened with new locations in Da Lat and Danang.

A milestone in sustainability

Less than two months after the inauguration of the new Aiden Surawong Bangkok, there is another highlight for BWH Hotels. The company has achieved certification under the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) standards, as confirmed by multiple reports. More than just a seal of quality, this award shows BWH Hotels' commitment to sustainable and responsible actions in Southeast Asia, Japan and Pakistan. The assessment covered four key areas: sustainable management, socio-economic impacts, cultural impacts and environmental impacts.

The certification and accompanying ceremony took place on September 2, 2025 at the Best Western Chatuchak in Bangkok and was attended by leaders such as Olivier Berrivin and Rodney Simpson. Rodney Simpson highlighted the importance of this award as a symbol of BWH Hotels' commitment to effecting lasting change in hospitality. The company has clear goals with its “Because We Care” program: less water consumption, reduced carbon emissions, minimizing waste and supporting local sourcing.

Why sustainable travel is important

Not only within its hotels, but also across the hospitality industry, BWH Hotels sees responsible travel as part of its identity and not just a passing trend. By integrating environmentally conscious measures into their operations, they not only want to make your stay pleasant, but also make positive changes for our planet. With over 4,300 hotels in more than 100 countries, including major brands such as WorldHotels and Best Western Hotels & Resorts, BWH Hotels is committed to continuing to make a major contribution to sustainable development.

For all those who are looking for a holiday with a clear conscience, let it be said: BWH Hotels gives you the chance. Whether in Pattaya, Bangkok or Vietnam, the new hotels not only offer comfort, but also the good feeling of traveling in an environmentally conscious manner. The future looks promising – and we can’t miss it.
