Russian passenger jumps out of plane – chaos at Bangkok airport!
Unexpected chaos at Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport caused a stir when a foreign man, believed to be of Russian origin, jumped out of an emergency exit of a Thai AirAsia plane after landing. The flight had arrived on January 31 from Nha Trang, Vietnam. According to reports from The Thaiger The drama began about 15 minutes before landing. Passengers reported that the man was obviously drunk and was causing a disturbance in the cabin.
Eyewitnesses described that the man took off his clothes and walked around the cabin in only his underwear, which alerted the other passengers. A Thai woman sitting just two seats away from him took a video of the incident and noticed the strong smell of alcohol coming from him. The cabin crew tried to calm the man down, but found no way to control the situation. When they finally landed, the man asked staff to open the door immediately and warned them not to touch him.
The leap into freedom
After opening the door, the man jumped onto the runway and slightly injured his leg. The incident has brought greater focus to the issue of passenger safety and the responsible use of alcohol on aircraft. This is particularly relevant at a time when travel behavior and safety protocols are constantly being questioned. Despite his injuries, the man tried to escape from airport officials and tried to hide under a pickup truck, but quickly abandoned that plan due to the heat. Fortunately, there were no injuries among passengers, crew or airport employees.
The Thaiger reports that no official legal action has been taken against the man and that no further action by the airport authorities is known. The incident sparked a huge response on social media, sparking discussions about airport security measures and emergency procedures. It remains to be seen whether this incident will lead to a review of existing policies.
