First direct flight from Warsaw to Bangkok: A new holiday dream!
The travel fever is rising! Thailand will soon offer an exciting new route from Europe. LOT Polish Airlines has announced that it will launch a year-round non-stop service between Warsaw and Bangkok from October 26, 2026. This is the first direct commercial air link between these two countries and is just the beginning of a promising partnership. Pattaya Mail
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) expressly welcomes this development. With five weekly flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, LOT aims to increase travel convenience and encourage longer stays in Thailand. According to the TAT, the typical Polish visitor spends an average of about 14 days in the kingdom, spending around 68,000 baht.
Growing interest in Thailand
The numbers speak for themselves: in 2024, 180,722 people from Poland visited Thailand, resulting in revenue of an astonishing 11.68 billion baht. The forecast for 2025 is even more optimistic: the country expects around 230,000 arrivals, an increase of almost 30 percent compared to last year. Pattaya Mail
“Poland has become a rapidly growing market,” says TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool. To further promote this trend, Thailand is planning special campaigns and luxury offers to attract mainly high-priced European guests. Thai Examiner
Strategic importance for tourism
Although total arrivals in Thailand fell slightly in 2025, TAT sees great potential in the European market. European holidaymakers spend on average 50% more per trip than short-haul travelers from Asia. A typical Polish holidaymaker invests around 61,425 baht per day on their three-week adventure in Thailand. Thai Examiner
To promote the above arrivals, the TAT and LOT are relying on various marketing strategies, including digital campaigns and new flight routes to reach not only Bangkok but also popular coastal destinations such as Phuket and Krabi. Other European airlines are also expanding their connections to Thailand, making the country even more attractive. Thailand Tip
The new connection between Warsaw and Bangkok is just another building block in the growing and dynamic network of air connections that will support Thailand on the way to a return to normal operations in the tourism industry. With this exciting announcement, travelers from Poland will soon be able to travel to the tropical paradise even more easily.
