PDLegal strengthens its Thailand team: experts in dispute resolution and taxes!

Hallmark of the keyboard of jurisprudence! In a strategic decision, PDLegal Thailand has gained two new leaders for its teams in the areas of dispute resolution and taxes. Ravipat Mullijarupongs will serve as head of dispute resolution, while Supagorn (Pop) Jittimaporn will take responsibility for the regional tax practice. This duo is intended to significantly increase PDLegal's regional competencies in the areas of disputes, assets and private customers, as well as cross-border finance.

As Peter Doraisamy, Group Managing Director of PDLegal, emphasizes, strengthening its presence in key legal areas is a key aim of the company. “We are responding to our customers’ increasing demand for support in multiple jurisdictions,” says Paul Papon Charoenpao, Managing Director of PDLegal Thailand. That sounds like a smart strategy, because the world of law is constantly in flux.

Ravipat Mullijarupongs: An experienced fighter in the law

With over 20 years of experience, Mullijarupongs brings a valuable wealth of knowledge to the firm. His career includes positions at well-known companies such as RSM Thailand and Weerawong Chinnavat & Partners. His extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution, ranging from contract disputes to insolvency issues and construction litigation, makes him a unique asset to the team. He will oversee litigation and arbitration operations in Thailand and work closely with PDLegal's regional dispute resolution team.

Supagorn Jittimaporn: Tax expert with vision

Jittimaporn will serve as regional tax practice leader and has an impressive resume that demonstrates his expertise in all areas of tax consulting. Prior to joining PDLegal, he was vice president of legal compliance at Boutique Corporation and previously served as legal director at Country Group Development. His over a decade of experience advising high net worth families and multinational corporations will help PDLegal drive growth in these areas.

The focus of Jittimaporn, who specializes in cross-border tax planning, succession structuring and regulatory compliance, shows that PDLegal knows how to feel the pulse of the market. There will be a clear focus on tax efficient restructuring and digital assets. These developments could be of great importance for many entrepreneurs in the country.

An exciting environment for dispute resolution

In Thailand, companies have numerous options not only in the national legal system but also in the arbitration system. These range from classic state jurisdiction to flexible arbitration procedures, which offer many advantages, such as the international enforceability of arbitration awards. “This is a real selling point,” say experts about the benefits of arbitration, particularly for foreign companies.

PDLegal is not only positioning itself in terms of internal expertise, but is also toying with the idea of making an international name for itself as a partner in dispute resolution and tax practice. The challenges and opportunities that the Thai market offers are great - and with the new additions, PDLegal will be well prepared.
