The anticipation is palpable in Chiang Mai as the SEA Games 2025 football competitions are just around the corner! The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) announced the official draws on Sunday and put together some exciting groups. The competition will take place from December 3rd to 18th and will be held in various cities, including the esteemed sports venues of Chiang Mai and Songkhla. Thailand will face Cambodia and Timor-Leste in Group A.

Timor-Leste reportedly began accusing Thailand of expelling their men's team from the tournament, sparking public anger. Hosting the women's and futsal competitions

However, the SEA Games also have international dimensions: FIFA-affiliated associations can take part, but there are age limits for the men's tournament. Players must be under 22 to represent their nation, while this restriction does not apply to women.
