Sensational program starts: Students save up to 100 baht daily!

In Chiang Mai, almost 5,000 students from Lanna Polytechnic College have registered for the new “Khon La Khreung Plus” program. The initiative, taken by Deputy Directors Assoc. Prof. Prasit Chutwong and Assoc. Prof. Kranachit Mekkhla aims to reduce the financial burden on students and their parents. Since the beginning of the second semester, participants can use their registration from October 20th to 26th, 2025 to significantly reduce the cost of lunch every day.

Given the current pricing, which is usually between 100 and 200 baht daily, the program can reduce the amount to half. This makes it easier to keep track of expenses, especially for students living in dorms. Due to the great interest, almost 4,000 students have already expressed their interest, and many teachers and staff are also taking part.

Conditions of participation and registration details

Registration is done via the “Pao Tang” app, which also allows eligibility to be checked. The program allows government support of 50 percent of the costs, with a maximum expenditure of 200 baht per day per person. Expenses are limited to 2,400 baht per person for taxable persons and 2,000 baht per person for tax-exempt persons.

Increase in sales figures and benefits for companies

A positive side effect of the program is the increase in sales of the participating stores on campus. This not only allows students to save money, but also increases the economic liquidity of the canteens and shops within the university.

Use of the program extends from October 29th to December 31st, 2025, with spending possible daily between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Orders can also be made via delivery platforms from November 7th, making the offer even more attractive.

At a time when access to education and financial support is critical, this program shows how local initiatives can have a positive impact on the lives of many students.
