The ongoing enthusiasm for winter holidays in Thailand is reflected in the latest developments at Phuket International Airport. Because how Travel and Tour World reports, Denmark will now be part of a new flight offer from TUI, which complements existing connections from Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom. From November 2, 2025, 10 weekly direct flights will depart from key cities in Northern Europe and the United Kingdom to Phuket to meet increasing demand from European holidaymakers.
With this measure, TUI expects around 61,000 new passengers to visit the island by April 16, 2026. The high season is particularly noticeable on weekends, when most flights take place as expected. Phuket International Airport is preparing to increase the number of daily flights from 280-300 to up to 380-400. To meet this challenge, the airport infrastructure has recently been improved and can now handle up to 25 aircraft per hour.
